Women’s Glass Shop
In November of 2011 a young glass artist from Eugene, OR decided to come out to Cambodia and teach some of the girls from TransformAsia to blow glass. Shag had previously heard Dr. Setan Lee speak at Church on the Ridge in Snoqualmie, WA and was so moved by his story that he asked what he could do to help. Setan asked Shag to teach the girls in Cambodia how to do what he does. Shag pulled together all the supplies, old glass torches, various tools, and whatever else he could think of and brought it all out to Cambodia where he would then teach for 2 months, during which time he would show the girls how to produce unique glass earrings and pendants.
Now every day up to 8 girls work with the torches and can produce over 100 pairs of earrings each day! Sometimes they can produce up to 1000 pairs in a week! These earrings can then be sold via the local tourist markets or can be brought to other countries for sale there. The girls are then able to earn an income that with more effort and skill can grow to be greater than even the average Cambodian income!
These girls are some of the only people in all of Cambodia who create glass earrings and glass art! We praise God that we are able to show these girls not only a unique trade skill, but we are also able to show them how God is able to provide for their lives and how there are so many people around the world who love them and want them to know about the Love of Christ!
If you would like to know more about what the girls are doing or how you can acquire a pair of these unique earrings please contact us via the glass shop email.

If you would like to help please consider donating to the Women’s Ministries of TransformAsia or by helping us to get more glass sent over to Cambodia so they can continue to produce these products!
