David Orphanage Center

Anglong Veng

How it began is amazing!  The jungles of Anlong Veng were dangerous, where land-mines, roadside bandits, malaria, and the much feared Khmer Rouge were, and still are.  Because of this, there was virtually no contact between Anlong Veng and the outside world.  Setan Lee went to Anlong Veng to meet with General Tith, the General in charge of the Khmer Rouge. Setan was escorted there by two AK-47 wielding soldiers. He told his staff that  if he wasn’t back  in two weeks to consider him dead.  Once there, Setan shared the gospel with this powerful man.  It was the day Pol Pot, the Khmer Rouge master mind, was killed.  Amazingly, General Tith accepted Jesus as Savior, along with his family!  He was excited about Setan’s courage and love and asked him to go with him to meet some “very important people.”

As they pushed through the jungle, the General began calling names, and hundreds of children (orphans) appeared. He said to  Setan, “You said Jesus came to love and save the poorest and neediest…Do you think He would care for these?”  Setan promised to do whatever God would allow him to do to help these children. It took time, but the  David Orphanage Center (DOC) opened in October of 2004.  It currently can take care of about 65 children and babies, but TA  hopes in the future to have facilities for about 120 children as God provides additional dormitories, and other much needed facilities.  Please pray as our staff works diligently to teach these children personal hygiene, and English.  They attend school in the village, BUT most importantly, they teach them the Love of God and are leading them to a personal relationship with Jesus.

  • Joy Day Care Center

    Phnom Penh

Joy Day Care began when Setan realized many children and adults were trying to survive by selling objects they found in the city dump and that most of their food was what they found there. The children were suffering from malnutrition and diseases which flourish in such toxic environments. Through partnership with Crossroads International, TransformAsia has been able to develop the Joy Day Care Center facility and to acquire vehicles to pick the children up every morning and take them back to their neighborhood in the evening. Daily these children are fed, their clothes are washed, they are taught the English and Khmer alphabets, and they play like other kids do. But most importantly they are shown the Love of Christ. This truly has made so much difference in these young children's lives! Recently the city dump was closed and the day care was relocated. Now, the staff still picks up children from poor neighborhoods in Phnom Penh where they have little or no food. This is a much needed ministry in an area where they would not have the food and care we provide, but more important, they would not hear about the Lord Jesus.

  • Kambour Feeding Center

    Kambour

Near Kambour village, there were well over 200 children whose parents left them with an older sibling (some as young as 12 years old) or an elderly grandparent to look for work in other countries. TransformAsia (TA) began a program to feed and provide clean water for these children because many were dying due to contaminated streams and lack of food. TA provides a meal of rice, a vegetable, and soup with meat or fish. The children are taught elementary school basics as well as how much Jesus loves them. They love the Bible stories and singing. In June 2010, a Community Center was built, equipped with a full kitchen, a well for clean water with a solar powered pump, and a restroom/shower facility. Please pray for the staff as they currently feed and teach about 150 children per day at this site.

New Development Center for Adolescents Care

Kampong Chhnang

The New Development Center (NDC) opened in 1999 to house street girls and young women caught in sex traficking and prostitution, sold into slavery, or in need of help to survive.  The key to successfully rescuing these women is to provide career training so they are not forced back into their old way of life. But foremost, every girl who comes to the NDC is taught the gospel of our Lord Jesus.  When they choose to accept Him as Savior, their new life in Christ is  encouraged and discipled by members of our staff.

At the present moment the New Development Center is home to young girls and boys who are victims of domesitc violence, and would be subjected to abusive home situations.  The residents are able to live in a safe environment and attend school which will prepare them for a better future than what would previously have been expected.  We are blessed to be able to help these young people who are so impressionable.  Please continue to pray with us that we can also help to minister to their families.

  • Battambang Ministry Center

    Battambang

Once a Center to protect women and girls against human trafficking to learn a trade this Center has now transformed into a dormitory ministry. This Center houses young men and women who are attending the local universities who would not have a place to stay. They help to keep this Center clean and running properly.

  • Street Children's Ministry

    Battambang

The students who live in the dorms at the Battambang Ministry Center are the ones who help us run The Street Children’s Ministry. They help to pick up the children, play games, teach a few lessons to them and fee them. We are so grateful to all who help make this ministry run.

“And the King will say, ‘I tell you the truth, when you did it to one of the least of these my brothers and sisters, you were doing it to me!’
